What are the standard sizes of the counterframes?

The standard sizes for the Italian market include widths from 600mm to 1000mm with heights of 2000mm or 2100mm .

The most commonly used wall thicknesses are 105mm for plaster and 100mm for plasterboard .

Is it possible to have a custom-made subframe?

The counterframes are available with modularity of 50mm in width (650mm, 750mm, 850mm etc.) while the height can be customized to the millimetre according to specific needs.

Is the counterframe compatible with any door?

Compatibility is guaranteed when the technical specifications of the door relating to height, width and thickness are respected in accordance with the dimensions of the installed counterframe.

How do you install a counterframe in a plasterboard wall?

Detailed assembly instructions are available in the Download section of the site, where you will find specific guides for each model.

What is the difference between a plasterboard counterframe and a masonry one?

The plaster counterframe is equipped with a mesh and specific components for the adhesion of the mortar to the counterframe case and to give it structure.

The plasterboard counterframe is instead designed for direct assembly of the sheets, without plaster mesh.

Can I fit a Filomuro door onto a standard counterframe?

Installation is possible when the Filomuro sliding door meets all the technical parameters required by the selected standard counterframe.

Is the sliding kit included in the subframe?

All our sliding counterframes include the complete sliding kit as standard .

What is the maximum load capacity of the trolley kit?

The maximum load capacity of the trolley kit is certified at 160 kg .

What kind of maintenance do counterframes require over time?

To ensure maximum durability, it is sufficient to use the system appropriately, avoiding impacts and excessive stresses that could compromise its functionality.

Is it possible to install a sliding door in an existing wall?

Installation requires a space equal to double the clear opening width .

If such space is available, installation takes place without demolition. Otherwise, it will be necessary to modify the existing wall.

On which plasterable walls can Easy Filomuro counterframes be installed?

The Easy Filomuro counterframes in the plaster version (thicknesses of 105 mm and 125 mm) are suitable for internal dividing walls made with 8/10 cm perforations.

On which plasterboard walls can Easy Filomuro counterframes be installed?

The Easy Filomuro counterframes in the plasterboard version (100mm and 125mm thicknesses) are compatible with internal dividing walls made with 75mm and 100mm profiles.

Can the classic counterframe be transformed into the Easy Filomuro counterframe?

No , the two models are structurally different and are not interchangeable.

Are counterframes made with height measurements other than the standard ones?

Yes, we make customised counterframes with heights from 550mm to 3000mm, satisfying any design requirement.

What is the difference between the Classico counterframe and the Easy Filomuro counterframe?

The Classic Counterframe includes jambs and architraves, while the Easy Filomuro eliminates these components, using aluminium profiles flush with the plaster or plasterboard for a result integrated with the wall.

How should the Easy Filomuro aluminium profiles be finished?

The raw profiles must be painted with a primer and completed with a uniform paint job on the wall.

On which plasterable walls can the Classico counterframe be installed?

The Classic counterframe is compatible with plasterable walls with finished thicknesses of 90mm, 105mm, 125mm and 145mm, suitable for 6/8/10/12 cm holes.

On which plasterboard walls can the Classico counterframe be installed?

The Classic counterframe is suitable for plasterboard walls with finished thicknesses of 100mm and 125mm, compatible with 75mm and 100mm profiles.

Can two single-door counterframes be used to create a double-door counterframe?

Yes, with the universal joint kit , an exclusive Mito solution for joining two single-door counterframes into a single double-door system.

What precautions are essential for a perfect installation of the sliding counterframe?

It is essential:

Follow the assembly instructions.
Check alignment, plumb and plane of the counterframe.
For masonry : carry out the plastering in two phases (rough coat and skim coat).
For plasterboard : anchor the counterframe to the supporting structure and use only the screws supplied.
Architrave all structures.

When can the door panel be installed?

In plastered counterframes, it is advisable to wait for the plaster to fully cure (approximately 29-30 days).

Does the counterframe need to be architraved?

Yes, all structures must be architraved to ensure stability and safety.

Does Mito also make Filomuro swing doors?

Yes, we offer both sliding and hinged Filomuro doors , with different configurations: push, pull, right/left, oversized, trapezoid, book, without upper crosspiece and other customizations.

On which walls can the Flush-to-the-Wall Hinged Frames be installed?

The Flush-to-Wall Hinged Frames are compatible with masonry and plasterboard walls:

Plaster : finished thickness 105mm (8cm drilled)
Plasterboard : finished thickness 100mm (75mm profiles)

Can Flush-to-the-Wall Hinged Frames be installed in thicker walls?

Yes, we offer special profiles for higher thicknesses:

Battente 100 : for 105mm plaster or 100mm plasterboard
Battente 125 : for 125mm plaster or 125mm plasterboard
Boiserie : on request for even thicker solutions.

How much space do you need to mount a Battente?

Please refer to the frame datasheet for overall dimensions and calculate the space required based on the specific dimensions of your project.

What thicknesses of plasterboard are compatible with your structures?

Our structures are designed to accommodate any type of plasterboard sheet available on the market , ensuring perfect fixing to the load-bearing structure.

Are your plasterboard profiles galvanized?

All the profiles in our range are made with a galvanizing process to ensure maximum durability and resistance.

Do you provide complete kits for plasterboard walls or just profiles?

We supply the entire plasterboard structure . The complementary accessories must be purchased separately.

Are your profiles certified for fire resistance?

We do not currently have fire certification. New certified fire resistance solutions are being developed.

Our grates are available with different levels of burglar-proof certifications:

Silver : Class 2 or Class 3

Flexa : Class 2

Platinum : Class 3

Is it possible to have opening gates or just fixed ones?

We offer a wide range of solutions : fixed, swing, hinged, folding, asymmetrical and other customized configurations on request.
