MITO 5.0: Un nuovo stabilimento per l'innovazione sostenibile nell'edilizia

MITO 5.0: A new plant for sustainable innovation in construction

Ilaria Brunetti

Towards a Sustainable Future

MITO's journey towards environmental sustainability began in June 2023, with the installation of the first photovoltaic panels in the main warehouse. An investment that has already produced extraordinary results: in just eight months, the company has contributed to the planting of 321 trees and the saving of 180.84 tons of CO2. But this is just the beginning: projections indicate that by 2030, the positive impact will translate into over 3,600 trees planted and more than 2,000 tons of CO2 saved.

MITO 5.0: A New Era in Construction

In this context of growing attention to the environment, MITO takes a further step forward with the project "MITO 5.0 - Sustainable Investments with High Technological Content". A new 5,000 square meter plant that, starting from the first months of 2025, will be equipped with its own photovoltaic system, further amplifying the company's positive impact on the environment.

Technology 4.0: The Heart of Innovation

The new production unit represents the embodiment of the Industry 4.0 concept in the construction sector. The investment in latest-generation machinery and systems with reduced energy consumption not only optimizes production processes, but also opens new frontiers in the creation of innovative products.

Diversification and Sustainable Growth

The MITO 5.0 program was born from the desire to respond to the growing needs of the market. The new production line dedicated to plasterboard profiles and accessories, called Structura, joins the consolidated shutter and Filomuro divisions in the new plant. A strategic diversification that expands the offer with solutions increasingly requested by the reference market.

A Commitment That Grows Over Time

Sustainability at MITO is developed on two fronts: on the one hand, the main warehouse already operational with its photovoltaic system that continues to generate measurable environmental benefits; on the other, the new MITO 5.0 plant which, from 2025, will add its green production capacity, multiplying the positive impact on the environment.

Innovation at the Service of the Customer

The implementation of new technologies and the expansion of production lines not only have a positive impact on the environment, but also translate into concrete advantages for customers. The new production unit will allow us to offer:

  • A wider range of solutions
  • Superior quality thanks to 4.0 technologies
  • Greater efficiency in production times
  • Increasingly sustainable products

Looking to 2030 and Beyond

MITO 5.0 represents a fundamental step in the company's growth path. With the goal of exceeding 2,000 tons of CO2 saved and 3,600 trees planted by 2030, MITO demonstrates that it is possible to combine industrial growth and environmental responsibility.

Conclusion

The new MITO 5.0 plant is not just a company expansion: it is evidence of how technological innovation and environmental sustainability can converge to create value. A project that, together with the photovoltaic system already operational since 2023, lays the foundations for a greener and more sustainable future of construction.

MITO 5.0 is not just an investment in the present, it is our concrete commitment to a more sustainable and innovative future in construction.
